Table Rock Lake~
The Bass fishing on Table rock is as great now as it gets. Fish have been heavy on the beds spawning for the past couple weeks in every creek arm and pocket in the lake. I'm starting to see some post-spawners show up and should start seeing more and more by the end of the week as they finish for another wave to move up to spawn. Pre spawners are biting on the main lake like pigs. Top water activity has been great. Throw spooks, super spook j.r.'s, red fins or other variety of top water over secondary points, main lake points and bluff ends with timber. Cloudy days are important but not always necessary. The bite may be slow early but can pick up as the water warms up later in the day.

If the Bass are acting reluctant to take a top water try swimming a 4'' or 5'' single tail grub around these same areas. Colors vary day to day or cloud/sunshine but typically smoke, smoke/black flake or salt/pepper colors are the ones to choose in the clear water. Swimming them on an 1/8 ounce to 3/16 ounce head normally or I'm going to a 1/4 on really windy days or fishing deeper. On the flat gravel try keeping the boat in 20'-25' of water throwing in giving the grub a slow retrieve back in keeping the bait off bottom.

In the clear water, around the Dam, Kimberling up to Baxter the bottom is still covered in moss out to 15' or more making it difficult to drag on bottom. In the White past Baxter and in the James past Aunts Creek the moss begins to break up and the bottom bite has been fantastic. Many fish are coming off main lake flats and points and secondaries with a caralina rigg, split shot, or shaky head worm. Drag anywhere from 5'-15' off these flats with a centipede, fish doctor, 5'' finesse worm in green pumpkin, cotton candy, watermelon candy or watermelon red. Expect to catch a ton of short fish in between keepers doing this. Top water's been great in the river's as well. Look for some fish to be schooling already. On a windy day fish have been getting on a spinnerbait in the backs of the creeks and coves.

Taneycomo Lake~

Trout fishing has been exceptional lately. Catching trout in numbers and size has been no problem lately, and it's been so easy! Trout are biting straight line jigs in olive or sculpin colors, 3/32 ounce to 1/8 ounce, from Fall Creek to below Branson. Little cleo spoons will also work. If the trout begin to lay off the jigs temporarily try a micro jig below a float with about a 7' leader. Drift fishing in the middle of the river has also been good drifting an orange or sunrise colored power egg.
