Fishing on Table Rock continues to be excellent this summer. Nice size Smallmouth are being caught from the Dam to Campbell Point area's early in the morning before the sun comes up and biting well on cloudy, windy days biting 1/2-5/8 ounce football jigs in P.B.&J. and brown and purple flash. Best choices for the trailer has been a Chomper's 5'' twin tail grub in green pumpkin or a Zoom speed craw in green pumpkin/purple. 5" Chompers hula grubs in watermelon and green pumpkin are also working well on these fish. Look for the brown ones with a mix of spots and some largemouths on the flat gravel points. With the lake falling to only 3' above power pool, most of the gravel flats are fishing like normal now.

The current water flow and color has kept the baitfish and bass a lot shallower this year. Deep fish that are normally in the 35'-50' depths are hanging in the 18'-25' range. Fish the gravel points with baitfish in that depth range dragging the jig or use a drop shot rig with 4''-5'' finesse worms in purple, plum or watermelon/candy. Some fish are coming suspended off deep boat docks in the same depths.

The river arms have been producing fish in numbers and size. Top water has been good early, with spinnerbaits and buzzbaits working well too fished on the ousides of the flooded buck brush. Flippin' has started with the lake a few feet high and only buck brush in the water, try flipping Texas rigged worms and tubes around the buck brush or try ¼ & 3/8 oz. jigs tipped with twin tail Chompers in brown & black or peanut butter jelly colors are working the best. .Some fish are coming off the flats 12'-20' in the daytime hours. Carolina rigged baby brush hogs, french fry's, and double ringers as well as football jigs in peanut butter and jelly and brown and purple in 12'-20' feet deep is working well for bass around main lake and secondary points in the creeks on the outside edge of the flooded timber. Try fishing channel swings on the main lake and in the creek arms with a 3/16 ounce shaky head worm in green pumpkin 6'-10' deep.
